Bryant mini-split installation in Henderson typically runs $3,800 to $7,200 for a single-zone system, and $6,500 to $12,400 for multi-zone setups covering two to four rooms. We stock Bryant-compatible line sets, mounting hardware, condensate pumps, and electrical disconnects on our trucks, so most single-zone installs are done in one day. If your existing mini-split is leaking refrigerant, freezing up, or the compressor won’t kick on despite a working thermostat, you’re probably looking at a failed component that may justify a full replacement rather than a patch job. Marco Benitez has seen plenty of Henderson units die early because the original install skipped a proper vacuum pull or undersized the line set. That’s the kind of failure a new install fixes for good.
Which Bryant Models This Applies To
We install and service Bryant’s full mini-split lineup, including the 38MHRB single-zone systems, the 38MHRQ and 38MGRQ multi-zone heat pumps, and the newer Evolution series with the Connex control interface. The compatibility gotcha most Henderson homeowners run into: Bryant single-zone and multi-zone outdoor units are not interchangeable with indoor heads from another Bryant series, even if the wiring colors match. Each series uses its own communication protocol. The model plate on the side of the outdoor unit tells you what you have. Look for the first five characters (38MHR, 38MGR, etc.) and match replacement components to that exact prefix.
On OEM versus aftermarket: Bryant’s OEM line sets and flare fittings are worth the extra cost. The copper wall thickness and flare angle tolerances are tighter than what we see on generic aftermarket kits, and in a Henderson summer where ambient temperatures push past 110°F, a sloppy flare leaks refrigerant slowly until the system starves itself. We carry OEM Bryant line sets in common lengths on the truck, and we’ll tell you plainly if a quality aftermarket part makes sense for your job. For electrical disconnects and condensate pumps, aftermarket brands like DiversiTech and Eaton are functionally identical and save you money. We stock those too.

Signs Your Bryant Mini-Split Installation Is Failing
A failing Bryant mini-split rarely dies suddenly. It fades over weeks or months, and Henderson homeowners usually notice one of these five symptoms first:
- Refrigerant leak at a flare fitting. You’ll see oil residue around the brass flare nuts where the line set connects to the indoor head or outdoor unit. Oil travels with refrigerant, so an oily spot means a slow leak. This is the most common failure we see on installs that weren’t vacuumed properly or where flares were over-tightened.
- Ice on the indoor coil or line set. Low refrigerant or a dirty blower wheel causes the coil temperature to drop below freezing. If you see frost on the copper lines outside or water dripping from the indoor head, shut the system down and call us. Running it iced over damages the compressor.
- Compressor short-cycling. The outdoor unit clicks on, runs two or three minutes, shuts off, and repeats. On Bryant Evolution systems this often traces to a failing thermistor sending bad temperature data to the control board. On older MHRB units it’s usually a capacitor losing its rating in the heat.
- Condensate pump failure or overflow. Henderson’s dry air means condensation volumes are lower than humid climates, but when the pump impeller wears out or the float switch sticks, water backs up and drips down your wall. The pump is a $90 to $180 part, but the drywall repair it prevents is worth far more.
- No heat in winter, no cooling in summer, but everything powers on. If the indoor fan spins and the outdoor unit hums but you get no temperature change, the reversing valve or compressor may have failed. On a Bryant unit over 10 years old, we’ll typically recommend replacement over a compressor swap, especially with the rebates currently available in Nevada.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
A new Bryant mini-split install in Henderson runs $3,800 to $7,200 for a single-zone system depending on capacity, wall construction, and line set length. Multi-zone systems serving two to four rooms run $6,500 to $12,400. The spread comes down to three things: the BTU rating you need (9,000 BTU for a single bedroom versus 24,000 BTU for a great room), the distance between outdoor unit and indoor head (line sets over 25 feet add material and labor), and whether your electrical panel needs a new dedicated breaker. Every job includes the Bryant outdoor unit and indoor head, line set, drain line, pad or wall bracket, electrical disconnect, and full commissioning: vacuum pull to 500 microns, subcooling check, and airflow verification. The price is written before we start, and the install is guaranteed in writing for a full year under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it fails in that window, we return at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely do two things before calling: check that the breaker for the mini-split isn’t tripped, and confirm the remote’s batteries aren’t dead. That’s where DIY ends on these systems. Mini-split installation involves high-voltage wiring at the disconnect, pressurized refrigerant lines, and a vacuum pump procedure that requires a micron gauge. A bad flare or an improperly evacuated line set will fail within months, and the refrigerant inside operates at pressures that can cause serious injury if a fitting blows. The tools alone (vacuum pump, manifold gauges, digital micron gauge, torque wrench with flare crow’s-foot) run north of $600, and that’s before you touch a single fitting. If you’re in Henderson and your Bryant system isn’t performing, call (775) 593-7060. Marco will tell you the number before he touches anything. If the price surprises you, something went wrong before he even opened his toolbox.
FAQs
A properly installed Bryant mini-split lasts 12 to 15 years in the Las Vegas Valley, though it’s the 115-degree afternoons and high-dust construction periods that shorten compressor life more than anything. Units that get annual coil cleaning and filter replacement tend to reach the upper end of that range. If your system is past 12 years and needs a major repair, replacement usually makes more financial sense.
Yes, if the failure is a flare leak, failed capacitor, thermistor, or condensate pump, the repair runs $150 to $650 and makes sense on systems under 10 years old. If the compressor has failed or the line set was improperly sized from the original install, replacement is the better route. We’ll give you both numbers in writing and let you decide. Call (775) 593-7060 for an exact quote, and the estimate is free.
A single-zone Bryant install in a standard Henderson home takes one full day. Multi-zone systems with two or more indoor heads typically need a second day, mostly because of line set routing and wall penetrations. We tell you the timeline up front, and we arrive inside the stated window per The Garrison Code.
We keep common Bryant mini-split parts on the truck: capacitors, thermistors, condensate pumps, flare fittings, and line sets in standard lengths. Non-stock components like control boards or specific Bryant indoor head assemblies usually arrive within two to five business days from our supplier. If it’s a same-day repair, we’ll tell you honestly whether we have the part before we schedule the call. Dalton Heating & Air Henderson is an independent service provider and not affiliated with Bryant, but we service all nine major residential HVAC brands including Bryant. For mini-split work in Henderson, call (775) 593-7060 and we’ll get you on the schedule.
